About me.

Hi! I’m Ji Su, a Staff Product Designer and technologist based in SF.

I went to grad school planning to teach biochemistry, but on a whim, signed up for my first hackathon and got a taste of product development and entrepreneurship. I’ve been designing and building products ever since.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked across consumer products, enterprise platforms, developer tools, and AI agents. I bring product thinking and hands-on technical execution together, from identifying opportunities and shaping product direction to prototyping, experimenting, and shipping working experiences in code.

Along the way, I’ve led design teams and become a trusted advisor to product and engineering partners, helping navigate ambiguity, align teams, and make better product decisions.

Teaching has also been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I’ve coached design thinking at Capital One and helped cross-functional teams adopt new tools and workflows at NMI and Visa, including AI-assisted ways of building.

Lately, I’m exploring emerging interfaces, physical computing, spatial experiences, and how storytelling, sound, motion, and personality can make technology more engaging and delightful.

Outside of work, I enjoy glamping, exploring cities, 3D printing, stationery stores, and learning about space. I’ve also been collecting retro electronics with great designs and studying their form factors for inspiration.
