Fundrise gives investors access to diversified funds across real estate, private credit, and venture capital. However, investors seeking more control over their investments lacked clarity into portfolio composition, asset-level performance, and fund-level performance. This gap undermined confidence in investment decisions and limited deeper engagement. Without the insights they needed, investors hesitated to take action or allocate more funds.
For advanced investors, this lack of transparency led to negative sentiment and a shift toward more traditional wealth management solutions.

I led the exploration of ways to surface Fund level performance—focusing on what needed to be obvious, easy, and possible at each level of detail. I recommended a restructure of the information architecture to better illustrate the relationships between an investor's overall portfolio, individual funds, and underlying assets and make it easier to move between summary views and more detailed views.
The redesigned portfolio view provided clearer insights into asset and fund performance while clarifying the relationship between asset types and funds.
