AI Shopping Agent

I designed and built a reference shopping agent for Visa Intelligent Commerce, an example for Visa’s clients building with its APIs. A shopper hands a purchase to the agent in one of two ways: human-in-the-loop, where they decide together at each step, or autonomous, where the agent chooses and buys within limits they set. The production agent makes real purchases and is available only to Visa clients for now, so this page shows a prototype that demos its flows and where Visa’s authentication, such as passkeys, might come in. The prototype has also proven useful for education and demos, whether with external audiences, inside Visa, or in industry talks.

Try the prototype
Visa reference shopping agent landing page asking what the shopper is shopping for, with a prompt box
Shopping instructions confirmed panel showing the shipping address, the $100 limit, the expiry date, and the card, with Cancel and Edit buttons
Once authorized, the instruction stays visible, and the shopper can edit or cancel it until the order is placed.
